Fun hour

今日きょうの２時間目じかんめに、先生せんせいが「明日あしたお楽しみ会の準備じゅんびをするよ。」と言いいました。
私わたしは、「折おり紙がみをもらっていっていいですか。」と聞ききました。
すると先生は「いいよ。」と言いました。
そして私は、お楽しみ会で、サメ大会たいかいをしました。チームで魚さかなと釣つり竿ざおを作つくりました。それをみんなに釣ってもらって１位いを決きめました。
１位の人ひとには王冠おうかんをあげました。２位はブレスレットをあげました。
お楽しみ会は楽しかったです。魚さかなを釣ってもらえて嬉うれしかったです。

Today during second period, the teacher said “We’re doing preparations for fun hour tomorrow!”
I asked “May I go and get origami?”
The teacher answered “Sure!”
At fun hour , I did shark competition. We made fish and fishing rods out of paper with a team. Then we had everyone fish the fish and chose a winner. The number 1 received a crown. Number 2 got a bracelet. Fun hour was fun! I was glad that people fished my fish!

REMARKS

Fun hour :
I translated お楽しみ会 as “fun hour”. It is an event that is done at school at the end of each semester (3 times a year) where the kids get to play games in their classroom.

Shark competition :
The kids make fishing rods out of magnets, chopsticks and string, and fish out of paperclips and paper and compete with each other for who catches the biggest (paper) fish.
