Table tennis with my family

Table tennis with my family

On my day off I played table tennis with my father and my mother. I played both at home and at the store. When I played at home, I won at times and lost at times to my father and mother. Then, when I took a short break and tried again, I won with ease. Then my sister said
“Let me play table tennis!!”
Then, when I tried playing with her, she was way too weak and was no competition for me.
Dad and mom told my sister:
“If you practice more, you will get better!”
My sister cheered up a bit. The next day, when I played table tennis with my sister, she had improved a lot. And mom and dad told her
“You got really good (at table tennis)”
She looked happy.
I want to practice more and get better (at table tennis).

Big brother refers to the weekend as “his day off=休みの日”.
He mentions playing at “the store”, by that he means the arcade, which we call “ゲームセンター” in Japanese.

REMARKS

At our house, we play table tennis on the dining table. There are actual table tennis tables at the arcade, but they are a bit large for kids to use, our dining table is more suitable.
