Yamagata Prefecture【山形県】

山形県やまがたけんのことを紹介しょうかいします。

最も上がみ川がわという川かわがあります。

山形県やまがたけんは、さくらんぼと西洋梨せいようなしが日本一にほんいちです。

白鷹町しらたかまちは紅花べにばなの生産せいさんが日本一にほんいちです。

８月はちがつには紅花べにばなを付つけた花笠はながさをもって踊おどる山形花笠やまがたはながさまつりがあります。

Today I’d like to talk about Yamagata prefecture.

There is a river called Mogami river.

Yamagata is known for producing the best cherries and Western pears in all of Japan.

The city of Shiratakamachi is known for Japanese Safflowers.

In August there is a yearly flowerhat (hanagasa) festival where people dance holding hanagasa decorated with Japanese Safflowers.
