Conversation between siblings【お兄ちゃんと妹の会話】

ある日ひ。
お兄ちゃん:「ねー甘あまえるってどういう意味いみ？」
ねこ:「甘えるって教おしえてあげよっか。」
「パンツ変かえて〜（高たかい声こえで）」
「かわいい声でしょ♡こういうのが甘えるだよ。」

また違ちがう日。
お兄ちゃん:「お菓子かしの袋ふくろが開あかない〜」
ねこ:「開けてあげよっか？(袋を開けてから)はいどうぞ。」
お兄ちゃん、無言むごんでお菓子を食たべる。
ねこ:「ありがとうは？」
お兄ちゃん:「あ、ありがとう。」

どっちが年上としうえか分わからない時ときがあります。
兄妹きょうだいの会話かいわは面白おもしろいです。

One day, big brother asked:
“What does “amaeru” mean?”
Neko: “Ok, I will explain “amaeru”.”Change my underpants!” (in a high voice) “This voice is cute, right? This is “amaeru”!”

On another day:
Big brother: “I can’t get this bag of sweets to open!”
Neko: “Want me to open it for you?” (after opening the bag) “Here you go!”
Big brother ate the sweets without saying a word.
Neko: “Where is my “thank you” ?”
Big brother: “Uh, thank you!”

Sometimes it’s hard to tell which of them is the older one!
Their conversations are funny.

REMARKS

Siblings in Japanese is 兄弟（きょうだい） for brothers or 姉妹（しまい）for sisters, there is no single word for “brothers and sisters” but we say きょうだい and I wrote it as 兄妹 because our family has an older brother and a younger sister.

甘える:
This word also has a broad meaning. It is everything from relying on a loved one for help, to cuddling up with a parent or a lover. In this case, I went with “cuddle”, but a dictionary might give multiple other translations.
