Ibaraki Prefecture【茨城県】

茨城県いばらきけんは、面積めんせきは24位いで、そんなに大おおきくはありませんが、人口じんこうは11位いです。

茨城県いばらきけんは納豆なっとうの生産量せいさんりょうが日本にほんいち一です。その他ほかにも、メロン、レンコン、白菜はくさい、栗くりなども日本一にほんいちです。

茨城県いばらきけんのシンボルで筑波山つくばさんという山やまがあります。つくば市しには、JAXA筑波つくば宇宙うちゅうセンターがあります。人工衛星じんこうえいせいやロケットの研究開発けんきゅうかいはつをしています。

Ibaraki Prefecture is the 24th biggest prefecture, it isn’t very large, but it has the 11th largest population of all prefectures.

Ibaraki prefecture is known for producing the most nattou in all of Japan. It also produces the most melons, lotus root, white cabbage and chestnuts.

The prefecture’s symbol is a mountain called mount Tsukuba. The national space agency JAXA has its quarters in Tsukuba city. They do research and development of artificial satellites and rockets there.
